Learning & Caring at Bramhall Methodist Church

The Church seeks to provide plenty of opportunities for everyone to grow in their faith, and to ensure that everyone receives effective and sensitive care.

Life Groups

Life Groups is a growing network of small groups within the church.  They offer people a place for mutual care and prayer, for bible study and learning.  They are a great way for people to feel that they belong.  They meet fortnightly through each term, and all the Life Groups members get together occasionally to share stories and celebrate what God is doing.  For more about Life Groups please click here.

 Learning and caring
Housegroups

Our housegroups are more established groups and they meet at various times during the week in various locations around the community.

Pastoral Care

The church gives a high priority to pastoral care for all associated with our church family.  In addition to the Staff Team of Minister, Pastor and Retired Minister, there are nearly 50 Pastoral Visitors.  Each Pastoral Visitor has a small number of people to care for, visiting regularly and seeking to ensure that everyone receives appropriate care from the church.

Christian Education Classes

Each year the church organises a short course presented by a theologian either from the University of Manchester or a local Theological College.

CAMEO

Primarily for our retired members, CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) meets on alternate Tuesdays at 11.00am in the Church Centre.  It provides refreshments, worship, fellowship and an interesting speaker.  Many CAMEO members stay for Pop In lunch (see “Pop In” in Service.)

Link

This is a meeting for Ladies on alternate Thursdays at 7.45pm.  It offers refreshments, worship, fellowship, a range of quality speakers and themes with occasional outings.

Flower Ministry

Our church’s caring is also expressed through the Flower Ministry.  Each week flowers, so beautifully arranged to enhance our worship, are delivered to those within the church family who are in particular need.

Social Groups

There are also a wide range of social activities, both regular and one-off, that offer good opportunities for people to get to know each other.
